Camden Sheriff's Office conducting live fire training on Trotman Road

CAMDEN — If you're in the Shiloh area today or next Thursday and hear consistent gunfire, don't be alarmed, the Camden Sheriff's Office says.

It's likely coming from the Sheriff's Office firing range on Trotman Road where law enforcement officers are conducting live fire training, Sheriff Kevin Jones said on his department's app Thursday. The training will also be held on Thursday, May 30.

"Please be aware that there will be increased noise levels in the vicinity of the firing range on these dates," Jones said on the app. "Citizens in the area should not be alarmed by the sounds of gunfire.

"This essential training ensures that we are well-prepared to protect and serve our community effectively," Jones said.
