    Cambridge boys golf: Kian Bystol-Flores and Cade Nottestad earn medalist honors at conference mini-meet and invite

    Junior Kian Bystol-Flores shot 4-over 76 in gusty conditions to win the 22-team Crusader Invitational held at the Broadlands Golf Course on Saturday, April 27.

    Bystol-Flores posted one of just eight sub-80 rounds and held off a trio of players to claim medalist accolades for the Blue Jays, who shot 336 to place fifth in the predominantly Division 1 meet.

    Cambridge senior Cade Nottestad shot 79, tying for sixth to earn a medal, freshman Ben Baker shot 89 and freshman Jack Baker shot 92 for the Blue Jays.

    House on the Rock

    Cambridge shot 164 to win the season’s fourth Capitol Conference boys golf mini meet, which was hosted by House on the Rock Resort on Thursday, April 25.

    Senior Cade Nottestad led the Blue Jays, who have three mini-meet wins this season, with a medalist-winning round of 1-under 35.

    Junior Kian Bystol-Flores shot 38 and took third for Cambridge, which also counted junior Andrew Smith’s 44 and freshman Jack Baker’s 47.

    Team scores: Cambridge 164, Monticello/Belleville 170, Lodi 174, New Glarus 180, Lake Mills 184, Columbus 194, Wisconsin Heights 200, Lakeside Lutheran 204.

    Lakeland Hills

    The Cambridge boys golf team rallied to shoot 157, winning the Capitol Conference mini meet at Lakeland Hills Country Club on Monday, April 22.

    The Blue Jays held off the host Blue Devils, who were led by senior Walter Beld’s 2-under medalist-winning round of 33, by two strokes.

    Cambridge junior Kian Bystol-Flores shot 1-over 36 to finish second and senior Cade Nottestad shot 2-over 37 to tie for third.

    Junior Matt Buckman and freshman Ben Baker both shot 42, tying for eighth, to round out the Blue Jays’ tally.

    Team scores: Cambridge 157, Lodi 159, Monticello/Belleville 171, Lake Mills 174, Lakeside Lutheran 181, New Glarus 185, Columbus 195, Wisconsin Heights 198.
