Rock, Jefferson counties developing phone app for finding veterans' graves
JANESVILLE — Rock, Jefferson and several other counties are following in the footsteps of Washington County, developing an app that helps people locate graves of Wisconsin veterans. Rock County Veterans Service Officer Paul Crawford said the idea was introduced at a recent state meeting for county veterans service officers. The Oregon Community Band, under the direction of James Baxter, is set to begin its 43rd season of Music in the Park at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 at Waterman Park in downtown Oregon. Bird's eye view: Second annual Oregon Art Fair set for Saturday, June 8
The Village of Oregon will be filled with art and artists from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at downtown’s Waterman Park. This will be the second year for the Oregon Village Art Fair, which will feature 26 juried artists selected to participate by the Oregon Public Art Committee. There will be everything from paintings, jewelry, printmaking, wood, ceramics/pottery, mixed media, fiber and metalwork.
