I was surprised to learn recently that Wisconsin places second to last in state per capita spending on Public Art. Public Art is alive and well in the Village of Oregon. Public Art can give a community a sense of identity, a sense of purpose, a reason to visit a community. It’s an investment in place making, increasing the livability and quality of life, it also shows community pride, helps the local economy.
