New initiative aims to help LGBTQ business owners network
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A new initiative is aimed at helping LGBTQ business owners and entrepreneurs succeed. The Vermont Pride and Prosperity Network is a collaboration between several organizations including the Pride Center of Vermont, the Small Business Administration, and the Vermont Treasurer’s Office. The goal is to provide education, connection, and celebration. It is being supported by the M&T Charitable Foundation with a funding commitment of $225,000 over three years.

WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) - One person is recovering after a Winooski homeless encampment went up in flames Monday morning. It happened just before 9 a.m. under Burlington’s “Blue Bridge” on the Winooski side of the river. Burlington fire crews say they were headed to a training when they spotted a large column of smoke coming from the area of the Winooski River Railroad Bridge.
St. Albans city leaders discuss solutions to repeat offenders

How Vermont finalists Honey Road and Barr Hill fared in James Beard Awards
Vermont was shut out Monday at the James Beard Awards, as two finalists for the prominent food-industry honors did not win their respective categories. Executive chef/co-owner Cara Tobin of Honey Road, the celebrated Eastern Mediterranean-style restaurant at Church and Main streets in Burlington, lost out in the Best Chef: Northeast category to David Standridge of The Shipwright's Daughter in Mystic, Connecticut.
