Floyd County Commissioners have a relatively short public meeting set for Tuesday after what’s become a regular closed session during its premeeting caucus. The board is expected to approve a contract for a new study on county employee classification and compensation, along with a set of rules guiding the administration of the study. Over 60% of Floyd County Republicans would like to see tougher voting restrictions while close to 90% of local Democrats want to make it easier to cast a ballot.
