TURNmusic, Blackback Pub announce Music in the Alley lineup
Outdoor music is a staple of summertime around Vermont and Waterbury has multiple opportunities including the Music the Alley series sponsored by TURNmusic and Blackback Pub. Three free concerts are planned for the alley on Stowe Street shared by Blackback Pub and The Phoenix Gallery and Music Hall, home to TURNmusic. Rain location is inside The Phoenix. The shows are scheduled for Friday nights – one each in June, July and August – from 6 to 9 p.m., and are appropriate for all ages.

Steele Community Room hosts two summer exhibitions
Town staff and members of the Waterbury Historical Society announce two new exhibitions planned for summer shows in the Steele Community Room this summer. The main meeting room at the municipal complex will present the displays starting June 13 with “Unmasking Brain Injury” prepared by the Brain Injury Alliance Vermont. This collection will run through July 1 and will feature masks created by people living with brain injuries throughout Vermont.

Bolton Valley artist chosen for 2024 Waterbury Arts Fest poster
Revitalizing Waterbury this week announced that Bolton Valley artist Natasha Bogar was chosen as the winner of the 2024 Waterbury Arts Fest Commemorative Poster contest. Bogar’s painting of a stormy scene on the Waterbury Reservoir will be used for the annual arts festival promotions this year. The image will be printed on the second annual Waterbury Arts Fest poster to be sold as a fundraiser for Revitalizing Waterbury at the event taking place Friday-Saturday, July 12-13.
