Trenton man faces felony assault charge after confrontation
The Trenton Police Department arrested a Trenton man on February 22 after he allegedly assaulted another individual on February 13. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reports that 30-year-old Tony Clay Dittemore has been charged with third-degree assault, a felony. His bond was set at $35,000, cash-only, with special conditions set by North Missouri Court Services. He is scheduled to appear in the Associate Division of the Grundy County Circuit Court on February 27.

Neva Rose (Robbins) Keith was born May 14, 1951, to Floran and Garlene (Hudson) Robbins. They lived on a farm south of Cainsville along with her older brother, Michael Rowan. Her grandparents: Dave and Olive May (Crawford) Robbins and great-uncle Homer Robbins also lived on the farm as well. Her uncle and Aunt Lester and Iris (Robbins) Hudson lived nearby with their children: Janine, Janis, and David Hudson. Growing up close together they were as close as siblings to Rowan and Neva. In late 1965, Rowan was diagnosed with leukemia and died on January 3, 1966.

In a recent executive session held on February 20th, the Gilman City R-4 Board of Education made significant staffing decisions. Brent Mitchell was officially offered the role of high school principal, while Jill Sperry was offered the position of elementary school principal. Bethany’s Board of Aldermen approved several bids during their Wednesday session. R&S Electric Utility was approved for the electrical project for the upcoming year. The bid was approved at just under $100,000. The East Circuit Project will include a change-out of 46 additional poles, fiberglass crossarms, polymer cutouts, polymer insulators, and polymer arrestors.

The Missouri Conservation Commission has recently expanded its territory with the acquisition of land in Harrison County. In a meeting held in Jefferson City, the Commission green-lit the purchase of an approximately 176-acre parcel intended to augment the Wayne Helton Memorial Conservation Area.
