Application to rezone Regency Inn & Suites filed
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Two Minnesota business owners filed an application with the City of Eau Claire to rezone the Regency Inn & Suites. According to the City of Eau Claire Plan Commission Agenda for June 3, Tarek Menesi and Jado Hark, filed an application for rezoning the Regency Inn & Suites back to commercial use as a motel.
Chippewa Falls ride share expanding to Eau Claire
CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A ride-share service in Chippewa Falls is expanding to Eau Claire following the closures of area clinics and hospitals. Starting on Monday (6/2/24), Chippewa Falls Shared Ride Transit’ will move outside of the city limits and make its way to designated stops on routes 3 and 4 of Eau Claire Transit. This partnership comes after the closure of HSHS/St. Joseph’s in Chippewa Falls, along with Prevea Health Clinics in the area, leaving residents without a way to get to providers in Eau Claire.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Efforts to rid Eau Claire’s water wells PFAS are a step closer. A resolution passed at last night’s (5/28/24) meeting, green lights a PFAS removal facility’s construction. The city’s Utilities Manager, Ben Spanel, says ground should be broken in July and the facility should be up and running by early 2026.
