ATMOS Energy closes part of Jefferson Street in Cadiz for gas line replacement
CADIZ, KY — ATMOS Energy is planning a daytime closure on KY 139/Jefferson Street in downtown Cadiz on Tuesday and Wednesday. According to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the closure will allow a gas line to be replaced at the rear of the Trigg County Court House. The closure is along KY 139/Jefferson Street between Court Street and Marion Street just before the 17 mile marker of KY 139.
Give Hopkinsville history a good scrub at tombstone cleaning days
Community members who would like to “scrub the dirt off a bit of history” are invited to help clean tombstones at Union Benevolent Society Cemetery on Vine Street. The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County will lead four tombstone cleanings over the next few months. The first is scheduled at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21.
Movies in the Park Series to begin in Hopkinsville
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - Starting next weekend, you can enjoy a movie with friends and loved ones at various parks around Hopkinsville. The season kicks off May 10, 2024, with the showing of “Wonka” at Tie Breaker Park. Before the showing of each movie starting at 6:00 p.m., family-friendly activities will be available including bouncers for kids, arts and crafts, pick-up style sports, and food trucks to grab a bite to eat.
