BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say a woman was hospitalized after a Friday afternoon crash in Byron Township.

It happened just before 1:50 p.m. at the intersection of 76th Street and Division Avenue S, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say a southbound Ford Taurus and a northbound Chevy Silverado crashed. They did not explain what led up to the crash.

The driver of the Ford, a 61-year-old Wayland woman, was seriously hurt and was taken to the hospital, according to the sheriff’s office.

The office says the 69-year-old Byron Center man driving the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.

    Deputies are investigating.
