Auto theft continues to be of great concern within the state. Butler Police Department encourages all residents to take your keys out of your car, remove all valuables, and lock your vehicle.

"Motor vehicle theft continues to be a problem throughout the state. The best defense is to ensure your vehicle is locked with the keys and valuables removed. Although this is not fool-proof, it lowers your risk substantially. Please be alert and report anything suspicious immediately," stated Butler Police Department via Instagram (@buter_police_department_nj).
