A Tesla crashed into a Burbank home Wednesday afternoon.

It was reported at the intersection of Vanowen St. and Buena Vista St.

The car reportedly blew through the intersection, took out a stretch of steel railing and a brick-restraining wall that went down the driveway before crashing into the side of the house’s garage.

Michael Castro lives across the street. He told KNX News’ Pete Demetriou he heard the crash.

“I heard a bang and I thought that maybe my neighbor dropped the trash can or something,” he said. “A friend of mine called and asked me if I was ok and I told him, ‘What do you mean?’ He goes, ‘A car hit a structure.’ So that's when I came out and I looked and I saw the Tesla by the garage store.”

No one was home at the time of the crash.

Two women and a small child were inside the car. Demetriou reported they were taken to the hospital but did not appear to be severely injured.

    The crash remains under investigation.
