Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 14-year-old girl was killed and five other teenagers were wounded in a shooting that took place in a parking lot in Buffalo, police said.

Buffalo police responded to a call of a shooting near the 1500 block of Jefferson Avenue just before 11:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night. The shooting call was shortly after police had responded to a loud party call on Alexander Place, one block behind the Jefferson Avenue address.

The six victims range in age from 14-years-old to 16-years-old.

The 14-year-old that was killed has been identified as Jazzmine Fomby. She transported by ambulance to Oishei Children's Hospital, where she was later declared deceased. Crimestoppers is offering a $7,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for her death.

Four males were transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, including a 15-year-old Buffalo male. According to a statement from the city released Monday morning, that 15-year-old is still in the hospital in critical but stable condition. ECMC officials say he is on his way to recovery.

The other victims have been released from ECMC after being treated.

Authorities say a 16-year-old Buffalo male was grazed by gunfire, but declined medical treatment at the scene.

"It has been a tragic day in the City of Buffalo," said a somber Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown during a session with reporters Sunday afternoon.

Brown called the shootings and killing a senseless crime, and also added that special counseling will be available for students at affected Buffalo school buildings.

Buffalo Police officials say they are getting cooperation for neighboring community organizations and are canvassing for video. It is believed there were three handguns at the party that ultimately led to groups of kids fighting in the street.
