BENTON, Ill. (KFVS) - One vehicle had to be towed after it and another vehicle hit road debris on Interstate 57 on Sunday afternoon, May 5. According to the preliminary report by Illinois State Police, the two vehicles hit debris on I-57 northbound at the 73 mile marker, just north of Benton.

MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month in southern Illinois, Centerstone has partnered with the City of Marion to light Tower Square Plaza green. Mental Health Awareness Month is recognized in the United States each May and has been observed every year since 1949. According to a release from Centerstone, Tower Square Plaza will be lit green, bringing greater visibility to this important cause. Tower Square Plaza will be lit from Wednesday, May 1 through Friday, May 17.
