Man arrested in Buckeye after firing shots in officer's direction: PD

    By (),

A suspect is in custody after authorities said he fired shots Saturday in the direction of a Buckeye police officer.

Police responded to a domestic call about noon March 30 on 262nd Avenue near Runion Drive.

The first officer to arrive spotted a man in a backyard and commanded him to come out, according to a Buckeye Police Department social media site.

The man moved out of the officer’s view, and “that’s when the officer heard multiple gunshots fired in the officer’s direction.”

Other officers arrived, and the suspect surrendered to police, officials said.

No shots were fired by officers. No one was hurt.
