SOLARCYCLE to open $344 million solar glass manufacturing facility in Georgia
SOLARCYCLE has announced plans to open a new solar glass manufacturing facility in Cedartown, Georgia. The solar recycling company will invest $344 million into the project, creating 600 new jobs in the process. According to SOLARCYCLE, the new plant will use recycled materials from retired solar panels to make new solar glass. The company can allegedly extract 95% of the value from used solar panels. The Georgia facility will focus on the production of specialized glass for crystalline-silicon (c-Si) photovoltaics and will have the capacity to make five to six gigawatts worth of solar glass every year. Construction will begin in 2024, with operations starting in 2026.

Carroll County Schools JROTC cadets received a huge donation from the Southwire Veterans Network. Southwire delivered 56 pairs of new and gently used athletic shoes for the Air Force JROTC program. The shoes were donated by Southwire employees along with a $1,000 for the purchase of new shoes.
