Scarcity and abundance: Lessons on thriving with Delight Flower Farm
On a hot, sticky day in early September, I drove down a country road on the very west side of Champaign to Delight Flower Farm (DFF). I didn’t need GPS to know I was getting close. Emerging from the endless fields of corn and soybeans was an island of trees and shrubs coming into view and tucked within, the woman-owned farm that is known for growing beautiful flowers, hosting events, and creating a community all its own. Spoiler: It’s not as glamorous as it looks on Instagram. If you’ve ever seen a bouquet from DFF, you know beauty is inevitable but to look behind the curtain and see the care and intention woven throughout the very structure of this business was inspiring.
