Baseball falls short against TCU on the road in first game of the final regular season series
WVU fell short on the road to TCU by a score of 6-3. The Horned Frogs claimed the lead in the first inning and never looked back. The Mountaineers fell behind early by the means of a fielder’s choice from Kurtis Byrne, off of WVU pitcher Hayden Cooper, scoring Sam Myers to make the score 1-0. TCU then added on to that one-run tally in the second inning with an RBI double to Anthony Silva and a Ryder Robinson fielder’s choice to increase the lead to three.

Sixty-five different Division One colleges will have new head coaches this coming basketball season, including more than a dozen in the high major level. Among that group was West Virginia, which hired Darian DeVries for his first major job.
