Lemonade Day Kickoff for Kids is Saturday, June 10 in Brownwood
The Lemonade Day Kickoff, sponsored by Chick-fil-A Brownwood, is this Saturday, June 10th from 10:00 am-12:00 Noon at Ben Lednicky Park next to Chick-fil-A! This summer-long event is designed to get mentors and kids signed up to participate in Lemonade Day, a community-wide educational initiative to introduce youth to entrepreneurship through the real-world experience of starting their own business – a lemonade stand. This gives kids the opportunity to learn the business and life skills needed to set a goal, make a plan, and work on the plan to achieve their dreams! Starting in July, the program will have 4 workshops that will conclude with Lemonade Day Brownwood on Saturday, August 12th.

Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center and Wiggins Pool to Open for Summer Season with Learn to Swim Program and Lane Swimming Opportunities
The Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center and Wiggins Pool will open for the season on June 6th. The Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center will be open Tuesdays through Sundays throughout the season offering two daily swim sessions, and extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wiggins Pool will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 2:00 pm - 5:45 pm. The Aquatic Center features a 7,000 sq ft recreational pool, spiral slide tower, water geysers, tot slide, lily-pad walk challenge course, four lap lanes, springboard diving, zero beach entry, and lazy river. Admission cost per session is $2.00 for 17 years and younger and $4.00 for 18 years and older.
