JPD seeking information in shooting death of juvenile
The Jackson Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a juvenile over the weekend. According to a press release issued by the department, officers responded to 81 Sweet Briar in reference to a sixteen-year-old male who had been shot to death. The JPD reports the minor was dead upon officers’ arrival.
Mid Week Showers & Storms to Continue in West Tennessee
A cluster or weak storms and brief heavy rain showers are moving into West Tennessee around 9pm and tracking to the northeast. They will move through Jackson between 9:30-10:30pm. Isolated lightning strikes will be possible but these storms overall appear quite weak. We are still under a marginal (1/5) risk for severe storms tonight so we cannot rule out this storm strengthening, but chances for a severe storm, appear not be likely.
