Former Broward Superintendent Peter Licata begins negotiating his exit and could leave with a nearly 200-thousand-dollar payout, even though he was only on the job nine months. Nova Southeastern University's Bob Jarvis calls the school board's handling of his surprise announcement a major snafu. He says he does not believe Licata is entitled to 20-weeks of severance. Licata is meeting with Board Chairwoman Lori Alhadeff today and whatever is agreed on will come back to the full board for approval. He makes 350-thousand-dollars a year.
