Two people hurt in Trumansburg tractor crash
ITHACA, N.Y. — An overturned tractor crash left an adult and a child injured Monday afternoon in Trumansburg, according to a press release from Trumansburg Fire. Trumansburg Fire lieutenant Alix Gresov said first responders were called to Route 96 for a report of a tractor crash with two people trapped underneath the vehicle. When responders arrived, a neighbor was trying to free the two people from the tractor.
Tioga County Sheriff’s Report
On April 23, 2024, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mandy Hall, age 40 of the Town of Owego, on a Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Owego Court. Hall was brought to the Tioga County Jail Division, where she was arraigned through CAP Court with Justice Hogan and released on her own recognizance with a future appearance at the Town of Owego Court.
Crews Fight House Fire in Owego
Crews were called to the scene of a house fire in Owego just after noon Wednesday. The call came in for a report of a structure fire in the 140 block of Ballou Road. One adult and two children were able to get out, along with three cats. The family's other two cats haven't been located yet.
Chenango Forks Man Charged After Tioga County Traffic Stop
A Chenango Forks man is facing charges out of Tioga County following a traffic stop in Nichols on Saturday, May 4th. According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Matthew J. Ortloff was stopped on State Route 17. During the stop, it was discovered that Ortloff possessed a loaded handgun and meth.
