NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 67-year-old man was attacked at a Brooklyn subway station by a group of fare-beaters who continued to punch him in the face even after they stole his MetroCard to enter the transit system, police said.

The NYPD released images Thursday of the three suspects as police continue to search for them in the vicious robbery last Friday morning at the Ditmas Avenue F station in Kensington.

The victim was inside the mezzanine of the station around 1:30 a.m. when a man entered the station and punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the floor and injure his ankle, police said.

The attacker snatched away his MetroCard and used it to pass the turnstile so he could open the emergency gate for his two accomplices, according to cops.

One of those men also punched the injured victim in the face and stole his cellphone, police said.

The suspects then fled on a northbound F train.

The victim was transported to Coney Island Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
