BROOKHAVEN — Mississippi Department of Health reported four local establishments passed health inspections this week. Two of them were schools and one passed its first inspection.

Loyd Star Attendance Center’s Cafeteria took an “A” rating late last week. The school aced their April 26 inspection to set a milestone of 18 straight A ratings since 2013.

Mississippi School of the Arts Student Life Center was next earning an “A” rating. It is the 14th straight A rating for the school since 2016. Downtown Brookhaven is home to the Mississippi School of the Arts.

Bud’s Snow Station earned an “A” rating for the fourth time since 2021. Bud’s is located at 3074 MS-550 and is part of the Bud’s and Blooms Gardens and Greenhouse experience.

Rich Valley Eats, which recently celebrated a ribbon cutting in Brookhaven, aced its first health inspection. The smoothie and juice joint plans to expand to food in the future. It is located at 230 South First Street.
