East Texas roads washed out, flooded due to heavy rain
EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Authorities have reported several roads that are in dangerous condition due to rising water. The Anderson County Office of Emergency Management shared information on flooded roads at about 6:30 p.m. and pointed out that there are probably more than have been reported. Authorities reminded drivers not to go through water if it’s covering a roadway.
Karen Pumphrey retires from the City of Jasper
Karen Pumphrey has retired after serving 18 years as the city secretary for the City of Jasper. A reception was held in her honor on Wednesday and attended by colleagues, family, and friends. A native of central Texas, she and her husband and family live in the Lake Rayburn area.
