Trump Blames ‘Rigged’ Election for Oct 7. Terror Attacks: ‘Would’ve Never Happened!’

Former President Donald Trump claimed that had the 2020 election not been rigged against him, the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel would not have taken place.

The 2020 election was not rigged and Trump’s claim about the Oct. 7 attacks not happening under his watch is patently unfalsifiable .

Speaking at a rally in the Bronx on Thursday, Trump asserted that many of the more than 200 hostages taken by Hamas “are dead.”

“And I see a lot of flags, a lot of flags right out of Israel,” the ex-president stated. “I said it a month ago, and it’s a terrible thing to say, but I believe it. Many of the hostages that you’re waiting for and everybody’s waiting for, those hostages – many of them – are dead. Many of them are dead, and it’s a horrible thing. It’s a horrible thing. but many of those hostages are dead.”

Trump continued dwelling on his remarks and again declared many of the hostages dead before tying their fates to the 2020 election that he lost.

“It would’ve never happened if the election weren’t rigged!” he yelled. “It would’ve never happened. If I became president, they would have never done it.”

The crowd cheered at Trump’s claim and the former president then moved on “to talk about just for a moment about success.”

Since losing the election, Trump has frequently claimed that various maladies ailing the country and the world – such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – would not have happened if he were still president. Earlier on Thursday, Trump claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will release imprisoned Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich .

“Evan Gershkovich, the Reporter from The Wall Street Journal, who is being held by Russia, will be released almost immediately after the Election, but definitely before I assume Office,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “He will be HOME, SAFE, AND WITH HIS FAMILY. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, will do that for me, but not for anyone else, and WE WILL BE PAYING NOTHING!”
