Mansfield, Higgins win 2 MVC meet races
The Boothbay/Wiscasset girls’ track and field team had 23 athletes finish in the Top-6, May 7, in 18 Mountain Valley Conference events held in Wiscasset. The team also recorded five individual meet wins. Karen Higgins won the 1600M and 3200M runs. Sophia Mansfield won the 100M hurdles and 300M hurdles. Rose Campbell won the discus.
Boys’ track team hosts MVC meet
The Boothbay/Wiscasset boys track and field team had 10 athletes place in the 18-event competition’s Top 6 on May 7 during the Mountain Valley Conference meet in Wiscasset. The team had two athletes finish second. King finished second in the long jump and AJ Crocker finished second in the 1600M.
Seahawks win at Winthrop
The Boothbay Region High School girls tennis team improved to 5-2 on the season with a 4-1 win at Winthrop on Monday, May 13. The Seahawks are scheduled to host Dirigo (1-6) on Tuesday, May 14, then travel to Jay on Wednesday, May 15 to face Spruce Mountain (5-2). Scores.

The Boothbay Region High School boys tennis team improved to 5-0 with a 5-0 win at home over the Winthrop Ramblers Monday, May 13. On Tuesday, May 14, the Seahawks are scheduled to travel to Jay to face the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (6-0). Boothbay will then host the Phoenix on Thursday, May 16.
