James "Rudy" Allen, of Cochranville, "improperly used" more than $6,000 in funds intended for a youth softball team, the Oxford Police Department said in a news release. WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) - A body was found in a river in Waterbury on Friday morning. According to police they responded to the Mad River in the area of 135 East Liberty Street around 11:12 a.m. The body was removed from the river and confirmed to be deceased, police said.
