Married couple found dead inside suburban Chicago home in apparent murder-suicide, police say
VERNON HILLS, Ill. (CBS) — A married couple was found dead inside a home in Vernon Hills Wednesday morning. Vernon Hills police said just before 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a single-family home in the 400 block of Cherry Valley Road for a report of two people dead inside the residence.
Chicago Police Issue Alert for Missing 69-Year-Old Woman Near Nagle Ave
The Chicago Police Department has issued an alert for a missing 69-year-old woman, Lucia Almeida, who vanished from her residence near the 2000 block of N. Nagle Ave. Ms. Almeida was last seen on April 25th, 2024, and concerns are mounting over her safety. Standing at 5 feet tall with black hair and brown eyes, the elderly woman has become the subject of a citywide search effort. The police are urging the public to be on the lookout and report any sightings immediately.
Chicago Shooting on Lavergne
The Chicago shooting on Lavergne murderers are Ronnie Allen, 19, Knowledge Lemons, 21, and Lamont Dixon, 23. They have been charged with one felony offense of first-degree murder, one felony count of murder with a significant risk of damage or death, one felony count of murder (another forcible felony), and three felony charges of attempted first-degree murder. Allen has also been charged with one felony crime of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Additionally, Lemons has been hit with one felony offense of unlawful use of a weapon. Dixon has also been charged with one felony count of receiving, possessing, or selling a stolen car.
