BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — Bridgeport Schools had a problem–too many bulldogs.

Not the actual canine, but the logo of their mascot took many different forms.

Senior Maddie Matusik noticed ten different images of bulldogs in one hallway alone.

Some were profiles; others were headshots, some looked aggressive, and others were just serious.

So, Maddie took on the challenge of streamlining the bulldog logo.

So I’ve noticed around our school there are so many different old bulldog logos. And as part of my capstone project for our interactive media program, I was working on streamlining our new bulldog and rebranding our school so that everything is consistent and professional.”

In the end, she came up with one agressive-looking bulldog for athletics, and one plain block letter “B” for academics.

They’ll be revealed soon in a video.

Maddie will be majoring in mechatronic engineering technology at Kent State University in the fall.
