As we head into the evening, storms will start to develop. These storms could be strong to severe and bring all threats, including large to very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadic activity. Most of the viewing area has been highlighted by the Storm Prediction Center as having a moderate risk of severe weather. Because of the severe weather risk, Wednesday has been issued as a First Alert Day. Storms will move out overnight. Thursday also has a chance of severe weather. Storms will again develop during the late afternoon and evening, with the main threat being damaging winds. How strong these storms are will depend on Wednesday’s storms and whether the atmosphere is able to recover between the two rounds of storms. Thursday is also a First Alert Day. Cooler temperatures will move in starting Thursday. Highs will be in the mid-80s through Saturday, with the upper 70s expected for Sunday and into early next week.
