SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – The Sussex County Board of Elections accepted the resignation of chair Daniel Perez. According to Sussex County Democratic Committee Executive Director James Santonastaso Perez resigned his position on May 11, citing “family and business obligations” as the reason for the “amicable” departure. Santonastaso said on that same day the SCDC submitted a candidate for the vacated seat to the governor’s office for consideration.
