EC man faces OWI cases filed just 13 days apart
EAU CLAIRE —An Eau Claire man faces two separate felony cases after authorities say he racked up a pair of OWI crashes less than two weeks apart. Lions cheese curd sale kicks off busy summer
The Stanley Lions Club, at their May 13 meeting, planned a summer of activities. Kicking off a busy summer will be the Lions Annual Cheese Curd Sale, which will take place on May 30, May 31 and June 1. The sale will coincide with the Stanley City Wide Thrift Sales and will be held at Soo Park, across from the Post Office.
New airpacks at Boyd-Edson-Delmar
Amy Rozwadowski (left) and Josh Walters show off some of the 12 new airpacks purchased by the Boyd-Edson-Delmar Fire recently. The one on the left is called a Rapid Intervention Pack and can hold 4,500 pounds of air. Following arrival of the new airpacks, the old ones were donated to a fire department in Honduras, having come from Thorp originally.

CHIPPEWA FALLS — The aging pillars that provide the entrance to Irvine Park off of Jefferson Avenue are being replaced, with the new structures set to be finished by the end of the month.
