Controversial blogger ‘Turtleboy’ returns to court

BOSTON (WWLP) – Controversial blogger ‘Turtleboy’ was back in court on Tuesday.

It was a pre-trial hearing for his case connected to the Karen Read murder trial. Aidan Kearney was arrested back in October and was charged with witness intimidation and conspiracy. He extensively covered Read’s case on his blog, alleging that she is being framed for the murder of her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe.

He has since also been charged for allegedly assaulting a woman he was dating. In court on Tuesday, Kearney and his legal team were accused of abusing the clock and slowing the process, saying prosecutors know the case can’t succeed.

Read will be back in court on Wednesday for her trial for a sixth day of jury selection.
