“Clifton is an island”: Strong storms overnight lead to widespread flooding in Bosque County
CLIFTON, Texas (KWTX) - Strong rainfall overnight flooded portions of Bosque County, leading to road closures and several water recues, authorities said. Highway 6 was closed at Meridian Creek north of Clifton and at Neil’s Creek south of Clifton earlier Sunday. At about Noon Sunday, the Clifton Police Department said Highway 6 had reopened at Meridian Creek, but remained closed at Neil’s Creek and FM 219.

Highway 6 remains closed in Clifton as city deals with aftermath of historic flooding
CLIFTON, Texas (KWTX) - The city of Clifton is still recovering from severe flooding over the weekend that left parts of Bosque county underwater. On Sunday, the Bosque County Sheriff’s Office described Clifton as an “island with water all around it” after all major roads in and out of the city were flooded.
