Beautiful Land Market kicks off pop-up season with vendors, live music, food trucks
Ames’ popular vintage and handmade pop-up, Beautiful Land Market, will kick off its season Sunday, May 5 at the downtown Fareway parking lot, 619 Burnett Ave. With free admission, the market will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature more than 40 vendors, live music and food trucks.

Rippey council to fill vacancy by appointment
The Rippey city council is seeking a new member following the resignation of Garry Higgins.
