This first-year Bolivar teacher named one of the 2024 Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow

Note: The Bolivar teacher was initially and erroneously told she won a national award that included $25,000 after a mix-up by a substitute presenter. A Bolivar teacher has been named one of the 2024 Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow by the Missouri Milken Educators in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, according to the district.

Lyndsey Roseler, a family and consumer science teacher at Bolivar Middle School, was recognized with the award this week, at the end of her first year teaching.

According to the release, those named a 2024 Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow were selected because they stood out.

Roseler was selected for the award because of her ability to implement engaging lessons, use formative assessment data, and build positive relationships with students.

The distinction aims to empower awardees by pairing them with a Missouri Milken Educator who will encourage them to pursue excellence during their first year of teaching.

Roseler will be recognized for her excellence at a Missouri Board of Education meeting and receives an invitation to the annual Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow Conference next month.

The Missouri Milken educators created this program in 2022 and are celebrating 13 teachers across the state with the Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow awards this year.
