Sailing Over a Cardboard Sea
The sister and brother team of Lucia A. Treasure (director) and Thomas Treasure (writer) describe Pigeonaire‘s production of Sailing Over a Cardboard Sea as “an immersive theatrical spectacle that explores memory and the lush, life-giving moon.” The show, however, is hardly a piece of lunacy; it is a thoughtful reflection on the responsibility that scientists have to their societies.

John Tyler’s Prismatic Journey Through Music
It’s been a banner year for Baltimore creative John Tyler, and he has a huge banner to prove it. After the annual Love Groove Festival wrapped up, Tyler took the main stage banner and hung it up in his studio. Featuring the bubbly words “LOVE GROOVE,” it’s more than a statement piece; it’s an affirmation. Pinned up right by the door frame, the banner stretches across a long wall to a distant corner by his bay window. Even though it takes up a lot of wall space, there’s still room for other decor.
The Public Art Chronicles, Vol. II: Michelle Santos’ 2011 Mural “Historic Druid Heights”
Let’s start in the middle. A giant orb, comprising concentric circles, pulls my eye from the outermost, fire-red circle through the rosy-colored ring nested within it, on through a smaller peachy orange one, and finally into a sunshiny yellow disc in the very middle of the huge sphere.
