West Virginia woman arrested after fight over lighter leash ends in death

MERCER COUNTY, W.Va. — A Bluefield, West Virginia woman has been charged in the death of another Bluefield woman after MetroNew s says the pair were arguing over a lighter.

According to the news outlet, on Monday, Crystal Copley, 36 was fighting with Debbie Olivo 62, over a cigarette lighter leash at a house on Bramwell Road when Copley allegedly shoved Olivo into a brick wall on the home’s porch.

It is reported that Copley left the scene and Olivo called 911, but fell unconscious to the ground during the call. She was later pronounced dead.

MetroNews says that Copley was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, and is being held in the Souther Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
