Recognizing the area's top performances as the postseason begins
The postseason has started in softball and track and field, so there were plenty of performances worth recognizing. Last week's winners were New Lexington's Garrett Blosser receiving 329 votes to edge out Philo's Aidan Mahon (265) for the boys, while West Muskingum's Lydiah Huey claimed the girls with 392 votes with Philo's Caitlin Rose in second (281).
Baseball Game Recap: Newcomerstown Gets the Win
Newcomerstown can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops. For Newcomerstown, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 defeat Bishop Rosecrans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.
