    The natural disaster was reported to be centered in Blue Lake with a 4.0 kilometer (about 2.49 miles) depth. The USGS said it received 881 reports of residents having felt the earthquake at the time of publication Wednesday afternoon.

    The California earthquake struck hours after a 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Puerto Rico on Tuesday (May 14), according to the United States Geological Survey . The natural disaster was reported to be centered in San Antonio with a 7.0 kilometer (about 4.4 miles) depth.

    The Puerto Rico earthquake was reported hours after a 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey . The natural disaster was reported to be centered on the Gili Trawangan island with a 28.3 kilometer (about 17.58 miles) depth.

The natural disaster was reported to be centered in the Pacific Ocean near the Constitución border with a 10.0 kilometer (about 6.21 miles) depth.

    The Chile earthquake was reported hours after a 6.4 earthquake was reported in Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador on Sunday (May 12). The natural disaster was reported to be centered in Brisas Barra de Suchiate with a 75.4 kilometer (46.85 miles) depth and felt by 157 residents, according to the United States Geological Survey .

    A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck California on May 1, according to the United States Geological Survey . The natural disaster was reported to be centered in Corona with a 4.1 kilometer (about 2.55 miles) depth.

    The latest California earthquake came weeks after a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck the state on April 18, according to the United States Geological Survey . The natural disaster was reported to be centered in Bodfish with a 3.2 kilometer (about two miles) depth.

    Multiple earthquakes were reported in Asia on April 27.

    A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia hours after a 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck a Japanese island region. The Indonesia earthquake was reported to be centered in Banjar with a 68.3 kilometer (about 42.44 miles) depth, while the Bonin Islands earthquake was reported to have a 503.2 kilometer (about 312.67 miles) depth.

    Both earthquakes reported days after a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck Taiwan on April 22, according to the United States Geological Survey . The natural disaster was reported to be centered in Hualien City with a 10.0 kilometer (about 6.21 miles) depth.
