LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Firefighters made progress overnight on a 150-acre wildfire burning in the Red Rock National Conservation Area about 20 miles southwest of Las Vegas. According to Nevada Wildfire Information, the Bird Springs fire was reported Monday around 11:40 a.m. and is south of State Route 160, near Late Night Trailhead and the Blue Diamond community. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a report of the stabbing around 12:52 a.m. on Saturday, May 25. The officer arrived at the 2600 block of South Lamb Boulevard and located a male suffering from a stab wound to the neck near a walking trail.
