Coroner: Dental records confirm death of Bob Boro, missing since New Year's Eve

A body found April 18 in the backyard of a residence on Curry Pike has been identified as Bob Boro , a Bloomington man missing for four months.

Monroe County Coroner Joani Stalcup said dental records were used to identify Boro.

The 44-year-old Bloomington man was last seen New Year’s Eve. His pickup was found early New Year’s Day crashed into a house in the 1800 block of South Curry Pike, and Boro was nowhere to be found.

Stalcup said where Boro’s body was discovered “was not the same location of the accident that he had been involved in back in December.”

She said foul play is not suspected in Boro's death. How Boro died won’t be determined until final autopsy and toxicology results are complete.

A police report said Boro, a father of two, was last seen New Year’s Eve celebrating with friends, and his sister talked to him on the phone around midnight.

Sometime after that, Boro’s gray 2010 Ford F-150 pickup, northbound on Curry Pike, drove off the road near a stop sign at Beasley Drive. The truck continued through a yard and came to rest against a porch and garage at 1824 S. Curry Pike.

The residents of the house reported they had left at 11 p.m. and returned at 1:20 a.m. to find a truck crashed into the residence.

Boro’s cell phone was on the seat inside the truck. He never returned to his home in the 4100 block of Vernal Pike, a short distance from where the wrecked truck was found.
