Baseball
EDGEWOOD 9, WEST VIGO 3: The Mustangs (8-3, 3-0) picked up an important WIC win, jumping up 7-0 after two innings and cruised behind six strong innings from Carson Druckrey, who allowed five hits and just one unearned run while striking out seven. He also had two RBI. Isaac Lawson was 3-for-4 and Carter Hayden drove in two runs. Box score at MaxPreps .

Girls' tennis
BROWN COUNTY 3, BLOOMINGTON SOUTH 2: Eagles picked up wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles and a three-setter at 1 doubles (6-3, 3-6 6-2) to pull off the rare win over the Panthers. Maddie Santner won 6-1, 6-4 at 1 singles and Quinn Reynolds and Everly Clark rolled at 2 doubles.
EDGEWOOD 3, OWEN VALLEY 2: The Mustangs swept doubles and got a big 7-6(5), 6-1 win by Ellie Jackson over Alyeska Ranard at No. 2 singles to clinch the WIC win. Jana Prieto Gonfaus and Kailey Sanders picked up singles wins for the Patriots. Complete results at Edgewood Athletics .
Baseball
BLOOMINGTON SOUTH 2, JENNINGS COUNTY 0: Sophomore Gage Way threw a shutout while Lucas Waldon had the game winning RBIs as the Panthers (9-2) won on the road.
SHAKAMAK 2, EASTERN GREENE 0: T-Birds (8-2, 2-1) see win streak come to an end with loss to 1A No. 4 Lakers (8-5, 3-1). Will Inman went five innings, giving up four hits and also went 2-for-3. Kasen Cullison was 2-for-4. Box score at MaxPreps .
EDGEWOOD 17, SOUTH PUTNAM 3 (5 inn.): The Mustangs pounded out 17 hits, including five home runs in the WIC rout. Mack Headdy had two solo shots while Brayden Ault, Isaac Lawson and a grand slam by Aaron Murphy added to the Cougars' woes. Carson Druckrey also had three RBI. Edgewood led 10-1 after two innings. GREENCASTLE 6, OWEN VALLEY 3: Nathan Sutherlin drove in three to lead the Tiger Cubs, who used three pitchers to strike out 10 Patriots (4-5, 1-3).
Softball
EDGEWOOD 12, SOUTH PUTNAM 1: Piper Stephens goes 4-for-4 with six RBI as the Mustangs (8-5-1, 2-1 WIC) pulled away late. Jayden Stephens and Addison Yearby each had two hits. Ally Bland tossed a four-hitter and struck out 12. Edgewood took a 5-0 lead into the top of the sixth and put it away. Box score at MaxPreps .

Incoming weather caused the following postponements:
Baseball: Bloomington North at Bloomington South (April 25, 6 pm); West Vigo at Edgewood (April 25). Softball: Bloomington North at Bloomington South (April 24); West Vigo at Edgewood (April 25). Girls' tennis: Sullivan at Edgewood (April 25). Boys' golf: North Putnam at Owen Valley.
Boys' track
EASTERN GREENE 129, MITCHELL 62, SEVEN OAKS 14, LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN 5: Eastern's James Lewis went 11.03 and 23.93 to win the 100 and 200 while Jade Dawes took the 400, 800 and 1,600 (5:02). Brayten Enlow and Roman Valentine went 1-2 in the 110 hurdles and 2-1 in the 300s. Eastern also won the 1,600 and 3,200 relays. Darrell Burton won shot put (41-6). Seven Oaks' Emmett Churchfield won the 3,200 (11:23.33). Keaton Jones was fourth in the 400 and fifth in the 200 and discus and sixth in shot put to lead LCA. Complete results at tfrrs.org.
Girls' track
MITCHELL 105, EASTERN GREENE 88, SEVEN OAKS 12, LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN 10: Esther Crane won the 1,600 (5:41) and 3,200 (12:07.21) to pace the T-Birds to second. LCA's Marissa Webb (13.30) won the 100 by .04 with Eastern's Keylee Hudson third (13.38) in a close finish. Hudson won the 200, Maddie Sylvester the 400, Lilyanna Blais the 800 (2:30.0). T-Birds took the 400 and 1,600 relays.
Monday, April 22
Boys' golf
BLOOMINGTON SOUTH 289, COLUMBUS NORTH 323: The No. 7 Panthers tamed Timbergate with a 289, led by an under-par round 70 by Colton Watson. Happy Gilmore and Luke Garrett each had 72s and Owen Garber a 75.

EASTERN GREENE 115, OWEN VALLEY 35, SHAKAMAK 15: Eastern's Jade Dawes pulled off the 400-800-1,600-3,200 sweep in times of 53.83, 2:10.19, 4:50.59 and 10:48.73. James Lewis won the 100, 200 and long jump and anchored the 4x400 to a win, going 11.47 and 23.08 in sprints. Complete results at abtiming.com .
Girls' track
OWEN VALLEY 62½, SHAKAMAK 56, EASTERN GREENE 41½: Owen Valley's Kaylee Deckard won the 100 and 200 while Lily Smith won the 800 and was second in the long jump. Patriots won the 4x400 (4:31.03) and 4x800 (11:02.33). Eastern's Lilyanna Blais took the 1,600 (5:40.01) and Esther Crane the 3,200 (12:12.60). T-Birds won the 4x100 (55.27). Softball
BLOOMINGTON NORTH 10, WHITE RIVER VALLEY 1: The Cougars (3-) wrapped up the rain-delayed finish with the Wolverines. Kendyl Feutz had a big game, going 3-for-3 with a double and triple. She also tossed a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts. Kendon Galligher homered and Molly Klein had two hits.
Baseball
MONROVIA 6, OWEN VALLEY 2: Eli Welch limited the Patriots (3-4) to six hits and scattered two runs.
Girls' tennis
BLOOMINGTON SOUTH 5, SOUTHPORT 0: The Panthers (5-4, 2-1) picked up a CI sweep and didn't drop more than three games in any matchup.
