Poplar Bluff man seriously injured after hitting deer with motorcycle
BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving a deer early Saturday morning. It happened just before 4 a.m. on May 25. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 60-year-old Ronald D. Clark was driving a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Highway PP, just 8 miles west of Poplar Bluff. He struck a deer as he was traveling along the roadway, and his motorcycle overturned.

Maysville heats up, flies past Chaffee baseball in high-scoring semifinal
With a berth in the state championship game on the line, Chaffee baseball couldn’t keep up with Maysville in a 12-4 loss to end the Red Devils’ run at the gold. In a rematch of last season’s third-place game when Chaffee defeated Maysville in a 1-0 duel, Maysville brought the fireworks Monday as it hung four crooked numbers in six opportunities.
Mostly dry tonight, chance for more storms Friday
Good evening, Heartland, it’s shaping up to be pretty dry tonight, though an isolated shower is not out of the question, just unlikely. During the pre-dawn hours on Friday, there’s a chance for thunderstorms moving into the area, although the severe threat for these storms is low. However, another round of storms enters the Heartland during the afternoon hours, bringing the threat of gusty winds and hail. The severe threat for these storms is higher than the pre-dawn round of storms. These storms should be out of the area as we head into the evening, with much calmer conditions for your Friday night. Lows tomorrow will be in the upper 60s and highs will be in the low 80s. Saturday will also be a very nice day to enjoy any outdoor activities planned, with highs in the mid 80s.

This as occasional weather systems move through an unstable airmass over the middle of the country. For today we are outlooked with a level 2 risk of severe. This will be mainly this afternoon and evening as a weak cold front approaches. Damaging winds and large hail will be the greatest threats. Otherwise it will be breezy and warm again, with highs of about 80 to 85.
