TC Light & Power Offers E-Bike Rebates
Traverse City Light and Power (TCLP) is launching a rebate program that will reimburse customers up to $300 for purchasing a new e-bike from participating local bike shops. The move is designed to "promote sustainable transportation" as part of TCLP's strategic plan, according to a release from the city-owned utility.

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY - Five sergeants with the Traverse City Police Department went through some unique training to become public information officers These are the sergeants that are typically on the scene of any major incident - telling the media information that can be released the public. These PIOs also meet with members of the media on a daily basis to answer questions and report any crimes that they want the public to be aware of. PIO’s main job is to be a connection between the police and the public.
Resurfacing Project on Eastern Avenue Starts Monday
Team Elmer's will begin a resurfacing project Monday on Eastern Avenue on behalf of the City of Traverse City. Crews will begin resurfacing Eastern Avenue between the Peninsula Drive/M-37 intersection to the eastern terminus of Eastern Avenue (where the city water plant/low pump station is located). The work is anticipated to be completed August 9, weather permitting.
