Construction project set to begin along busy Edmond interchange

EDMOND, Okla. (KOKH) — Drivers who use the busy intersection of Edmond Road and Broadway in Edmond should plan for traffic changes starting later this month. The City of Edmond said the intersection will undergo infrastructure improvements including concrete street panel replacement, traffic signal rehabilitation, Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades and stormwater improvements. The construction project and lane closures will begin Oct. 19.

A woman was pulled from her vehicle Wednesday after floodwater rose to her windows near NE 39th Street and Stiles Avenue in Oklahoma City, as fast-moving storms dumped heavy rain across the metro and turned roadways into rivers.
