BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — Taco Grande Pizza is back for a limited time at Papa Murphy’s. This fan favorite is one of our best selling pizzas. It’s made with a refried bean salsa mix as the sauce, toped with mozzarella, beef, black olives, tomatoes, and mixed onion. They are happy to accommodate if you’d like to substitute chicken for beef or if you want to spice it up with jalapeños.

“The first step is adding your base sauce, which would either be a normal traditional sauce or our taco grande. It’s going to be our salsa refried bean mix,” said area supervisor Benson Romm. “I always like to say — anything can be a pizza if you dare to dream.”

Chips and salsa pairs well with this pizza. “When I make mine, I like to make it on thin crust. And I try to almost burn the pizza, make it nice and crispy. That way it’s like you’re eating a taco pizza on a tortilla chip,” suggested Romm.
