    By Joel Porter,

BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A woman was arrested after police say she admitted to using illegal drugs with a child in the car.

It happened on Wednesday night when police were called to the parking lot at the Sleep Inn in Bismarck for a suspicious vehicle.

An officer showed up and noticed a woman yelling and flailing her arms while in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

The officer says after talking with the woman, Cassandra Sun, Sun tried hiding a pen tool used for smoking and gave the officer a false name.

Police say Sun also had a three-year-old child in the car.

Police arrested and searched Sun and found blue pills believed to be fentanyl on Sun as well as in the vehicle.

Sun is now charged with two felony counts, including child neglect and drug possession. She has a prior warrant for her arrest in Ward County.

Sun will be back in court next month.
